🧑‍⚕️About Me

Hi, I’m David Bolander, LMHCA, MDiv, MACMHC — I am an Indiana-based psychotherapist offering compassionate, inclusive care for adults navigating anxiety, depression, guilt, shame, identity, attachment trauma, and life transitions.

While these are familiar landscapes in my work, I welcome the full range of human experience—whether it rises from the body, stirs in the heart, or dwells in the quiet places of spirit.

If your healing journey includes spirituality, we can welcome that together. Whether shaped by quiet contemplation, expansive wonder, or a longing for deeper meaning, your inner life is honored here. I hold space for mystery, sacred questions, and the parts of you that seek belonging beyond words—drawing from my own formation in Divinity and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a deep curiosity about contemplative, metaphysical, and non-traditional spiritual perspectives. Your beliefs, identities, and worldview are respected and never imposed upon. There’s room here for the sacred—however you define it.

I meet with patients in person at the CTS Counseling Center or online via Zoom. For online sessions, clients must be physically located in Indiana.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA #88002864A), I practice under clinical supervision as part of Indiana’s licensing process. My work is supported and reviewed by Mike O’Connell, LMFT (License #35002087A), ensuring ethical care and continued growth. I value this collaborative structure as part of my commitment to attuned, inclusive healing.

🏳️‍🌈 Affirming Care

As a queer psychotherapist, I especially love working with the LGBTQ+ community—creating space for authenticity, belonging, and emotional safety.

I hold this work with deep respect for your story and the courage it takes to show up fully. Whether you're navigating identity, healing from relational wounds, or simply longing to be seen as your whole self, our work together can honor that truth. I strive to offer care that is inclusive, attuned, and rooted in the belief that your lived experience matters.

🏡In-Person Sessions at CTS Counseling Center

Nestled beside the peaceful flow of the canal and the White River, the CTS Counseling Center offers a serene and grounding environment for in-person sessions.

The building itself—rich with architectural charm and quiet character—holds space for reflection, healing, and connection. Whether you're arriving for your first visit or returning for continued care, you'll be welcomed into a setting that honors both comfort and depth. It's a place where silence feels spacious, and presence is met with warmth.

The heart of this work lives in how we show up together. 🧭 If you'd like to see how that unfolds in practice, you're welcome to explore my therapeutic approach.
